PHOTOGRAPHERS SHARE TALES OF BACKCOUNTRY SKIING IN THE NORTHEAST
SHOW TO BENEFIT GREEN MOUNTAIN CLUB

Fayston, VT – On Saturday, Jan 12, to benefit the Green Mountain Club, Moretown, VT-based adventurers/photographers Brian Mohr and Emily Johnson will bring their multi-media show, “Off Piste in the Northeast” to Mad River Glen’s historic ski area baselodge in Fayston, VT. The show is part of the photographers ongoing Wild People, Wild Places program, and will start at 7pm.

“Whether it’s fresh tracks after a snowstorm here in Vermont, or ski mountaineering on the steepest flanks of New Hampshire’s Whites or Maine’s Katahdin, there is something undeniably special about backcountry skiing in the Northeast,” says Mohr, who was born and raised skiing in the region. “The snow and weather make skiing around here an endless adventure.”

The show will be chock-full of images captured here in the snow-filled Green Mountains, but will also highlight the couple’s adventures in New York’s Adirondacks, New Hampshire’s White Mountains, Maine’s Katahdin and Quebec’s Gaspe.

The show will feature a mix of video and stills, will run approximately one hour and be followed by raffle of outdoor gear. Nearly all proceeds will be donated to the Green Mountain Club. Mohr and Johnson are regular contributors to Backcountry Magazine, Vermont Life and others, and can be reached through their website at www.emberphoto.com.
